1. Kimbo Slice vs. Dada 5000
Let’s be honest, no one expected a masterclass in mixed martial arts when former backyard brawler Slice fought his swagger-jacking doppelganger Dada 5000 at Bellator 149. But what they did get was unquestionably one of the most embarrassingly awful MMA fights of all-time.
By midway through the first round, both fighters already appeared to be on the verge of exhaustion. Each was gasping for air and punching like they were performing underwater aerobics at the local swimming pool. The laughably bad “action” continued until the third round, when Kimbo landed the world’s weakest punch, only for Dada 5000 to then stagger off around the perimeter of the cage and collapse for an utterly bizarre TKO stoppage.
Dada was subsequently taken to hospital suffering from cardiac arrest and renal failure. Slice would later see his win amended to a no-contest after he tested positive for steroids and elevated levels of testosterone. He then tragically died just a few months later from heart failure.
