5. Frank Shamrock vs. Igor Zinoviev UFC 16
This was Frank Shamrock’s second fight in the UFC, after having competed at UFC: Japan just a few months earlier. In that first bout he had in Japan he submitted Kevin Jackson with an armbar in just 16 seconds. He wouldn’t need much more time than that in this fight.
Igor Zinoviev was a highly touted middleweight from Russia coming into this fight. His record was 4W-0L, and was billed as Shamrock’s toughest challenge yet. Only he wasn’t much of a challenge.
Shamrock picked him up and dropped him on his head, breaking his collarbone and ending his career. It took all of 22 seconds.
