Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir
Brock Lesnar’s 1st ever fight in the UFC was a 1st round submission loss to Frank Mir, and while it must have been disappointing for Lesnar, it would lead to UFC 100 and 1.6 million PPV buys.
While the first fight hardly went on long enough to be considered violent, the 2nd bout was vicious, and ended with a bloodied, dazed and beaten Frank Mir staggering to his feet just in time for Lesnar to stick a finger in his face and shoot his mouth off. Unfortunately the 2nd round KO of Mir was Lesnar’s last fight before suffering from the bout of diverticulitis which hindered the remainder of his original UFC run.
