Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz
This rivalry is the only one on the list where there has only been one fight. Although chances are by the time you’re reading this UFC 202 has already happened.
Conor and Nate’s rivalry isn’t on this list because of the trash-talking, the media spotlight, or record breaking PPV buyrates; their rivalry is on this list because their fight at UFC 196 was a violent and bloody collision that forever altered the course of both their careers and lives.
For a round and a half Conor was tearing into Nate’s face with the same punches that ended Jose Aldo’s vice grip on the featherweight division. Nate’s face was a crimson mask when Conor started dropping his hands and getting tagged himself. Finally the fight finished with a rear-naked choke locked in tight enough to squeeze the head off a gazelle.
If UFC 202 is half as brutal as the first fight, then Conor vs. Nate could go down as the most violent feud in MMA history.
