Robbie Lawler vs. the Welterweight Division

From UFC 167 to UFC 201 Robbie Lawler was at war with the top welterweights in the UFC.

At UFC 167, Lawler handed Rory MacDonald only his 2nd ever professional loss. In Lawler’s next fight he and Johny Hendricks fought for the recently vacated welterweight championship, with Hendricks earning the decision victory in a brutal contest.

Lawler would then win his next two fights to earn another shot at Hendricks, where he would win the title via split-decision at UFC 181. His next 2 fights were bloody horror shows against Rory MacDonald and Carlos Condit.

His second fight with Rory MacDonald was one of the bloodiest most violent bouts in the history of MMA.

Robbie Lawler’s career from 2013 up until his recent loss at UFC 201 contains some of the most violent fights in the history of the sport.
