Muay Thai or Thai boxing is one of the world’s most brutal combat sports. Elbows, knees kicks and punches, check out our list of Top 7 Brutal Muay Thai Knockouts…….

Muay Thai is one of the world’s deadliest martial arts. Using the elbows, knees, kicks and punches to inflict heavy punishment to each other, Thai fighters are some of the most well conditioned and dangerous in all combat sports.

If you visit Thailand, there isn’t a night of the week where you can’t catch some live Muay Thai events in local arenas. It’s almost like a religion over there, and they start the kids very early in training.

As a result, by the time they reach professional levels, most Thai fighters have hundreds of amateur bouts under their belts. By the 1990’s, after many 80’s Hollywood movies made the sport explode in the west, Muay Thai was becoming a much more established sport on the global scene.

The obsession with big finishes is often quelled when attending a Muay Thai event, as the wide array of spinning and flying attacks leads to some of the most entertaining finishes that can be seen inside the roped ring.

So we’ll be taking a look at the most brutal knockouts in Muay Thai, of which there are many, in the form of a video show.

Warning: These videos feature graphic and real fight scenes that (obviously) end with some quite harrowing knockout finishes. If your stomach is weak, we wouldn’t suggest watching!

600lb. Sumo vs. MMA Fighter: Surely This Is Unfair?

Mixed martial arts exhibitions have always promoted ‘freak show’ fights of some sort, but this was just crazy!

If you were a fan of mixed martial arts in the days of Pride FC, then you will be familiar with the term ‘freak show’ fights. It’s when a promotion puts on a fight with lopsided advantages in weight or height, but usually the skill advantage is held by the smaller man/woman.

You’ll remember the great Fedor Emelianenko fighting Zuluzinho in Pride, or Hong Man Choi in Dynamite, these are prime examples of freak shows. So what’s the attraction for these types of crazy pairings?

A lot of it comes from the demand of the audience involved. Back when Pride was the premier organization of mixed martial arts, there was no such thing as blockbuster pay-per-view shows, it was all about packing out the biggest stadium possible.

The Saitama Super Arena was the go-to venue for most Japanese MMA promotions back in the day, and the fans wanted to see a hero compete against seemingly impossible odds. Hence the freak show was born.

But don’t get caught up thinking that these circus fights are only associated with a long-gone era of fighting, just a few years back the UFC put Kimbo Slice in to their heavyweight division, even ex-boxing champion James Toney got a shot.

If it makes money, even in the absence of sense, freak shows will get booked more often than not. The subject today is Emmanuel Yarborough vs. Daiju Takase. Yarborough, a Sumo Wrestler, weighed in at 600 pounds for the fight at Pride 3. Takase was 169 pounds.

Top 5 MMA Brawls: When Fighters Lose Control & Go Crazy

0

Mixed martial arts is obviously no stranger to violence, but these controversial brawls show a much darker and sinister side to MMA….

Combat sports tows a thin line between mainstream TV and bloodsport, no matter which angle you look at it from. It’s a mix of widely accepted techniques like boxing, Jiu jitsu, Judo, Karate and Wrestling, but can often be portrayed in a very poor light.

The idea of selling fights, or hyping as it’s known in the industry, means that trash talking and heated confrontations come as part of the package. Unfortunately, these face-offs can get out of hand, leading to much darker outcomes.

When testosterone starts getting thrown around, even the biggest stars can digress to their more primal state. Champions of the sport have been reduced to raging thugs in the heat of the moment, and it gets worse when their posse is with them. If there’s anything worse than a controversial fight, it’s a controversial gang fight.

Notorious brawls have become the ugly but ever-possible cousin of mixed martial arts, and it’s not limited to the major MMA players either, even the smaller shows have their fair show of atrocious scraps outside the cage or ring, or even in the arena of combat.

The adrenaline fuelled need to win convincingly can sometimes cause fighters to literally go crazy on their opponent, completely disregarding the rules and their dignity in the process.

We’ve compiled a video slide show featuring moments where fighters lose control and go crazy before, during and after fights, enjoy!

Top 5 Most Shocking Street Fight Video Knockouts

Join us as we recap the most shocking street fight video knockouts on the internet. *WARNING* Viewer discretion is advised….

Street fighting has become somewhat of a cult sensation since the turn of the millennium, with mobile phone cameras and social media becoming household items, and also the influence of Hollywood movies playing a role too.

The basic human instinct to fight must be acknowledged when discussing this topic too, but the result at the end of it is often the same, regardless of reasoning. Bare-knuckle bruisers the world over try their luck once they have a few beers in them, but then there’s also gang affiliation, hatred, jealousy, and many other defining factors to consider.

When the back brain kicks in, it’s fight or flight, but today we are looking at those who choose to stand and bang. Youtube has become a library of fight videos, and undoubtedly the most famous star born of that genre is Kimbo Slice.

The bearded brawler had many fights go viral, eventually leading to a brief career in the UFC, a pro boxing stint, and now back to the world of MMA and Bellator where he recently defeated the legend, Ken Shamrock.

Of course few will get anything other than a few broken bones, bruises, or a bloody nose to show for their attempts at gaining internet notoriety in this field, but not always are the protagonists aware of their being recorded.

So we have a mix of equally shocking knockouts, but observe the wide range of strange reasoning and lack of logic behind the behavior of the subjects.

Final warning: footage features violence that should only be viewed by people above the age of 18!

Watch What Happens To This Bully Who Dropped The N Word

Racism is a problem that has plagued the human race since the beginning of time. Add in the fact that when people get drunk they often turn in to bullies, and you have a recipe for disaster….

Bullying is a big topic right now, with many viral videos being used as evidence in certain cases. Harassing someone for any reason is simply unacceptable, yet it happens the world over very frequently.

Many schools and colleges run campaigns to try and stamp out bullying, often celebrities endorse anti-bullying ads to also attempt to aid the cause. The problem is that young adults are very hard to influence, and when you add alcohol to the mix things can get very ugly very quickly.

Drink removes the inhibitions, and this leads to acts of aggression where normally most people would not attempt it. The case in point today is no different, as an intoxicated bully attempts to antagonise a smaller victim.

This happened in Canada, as a bully, quite obviously high or drunk or both, picks on a skater guy for an unknown reason. Then things get ugly, as the bully starts spewing racist slurs to another guy on the scene.

Unlike the skater, the second man is less willing to take the abuse, and what ensues will teach the bully a lesson he will never forget. Violence is never a good thing, but this buffoon pushed the wrong buttons when he dropped the ‘N-bomb.’

Warning! This video contains explicit language and content only suitable for adults of 18 years and over.

Top 5 Most Tragic Endings In Boxing & MMA Fights

0

When the objective is to hit your opponent more than they hit you, or finish them by rendering unconsciousness or submission, you have a very specific set of dangers to consider. Combat sports events can often be marred by tragedy ….

The subject of tragic injury or death in combat sports is not one that gets addressed very often. The fact is that fans come to see their favorite fighters put their own lives on the line for the sake of entertainment, which is a very brave gamble.

Sometimes the gamble pays off, but on the odd occasion the milk turns sour. The very thin line between taking the human body to the limit, and going over it, can happen with one punch, although a lot of times there are mitigating circumstances too.

Rules and regulations are commonplace in legitimate combat sports genres, but even so the pugilists involved are never free from the inherent risk associated with the fight game. The early days of boxing saw countless tragedies in the ring, and that was sometimes down to poor ring design, but a lot of the time the referees would allow the fight to go on far too long.

There’s nothing pleasurable about watching such terrible events, yet hundreds of thousands have watched fighters give their lives in harrowing incidents, and still tune in to watch the next big fight on PPV.

Such is the dark lure of the fight industry, but the effects are certainly not limited to, or the most impacting, on fans of the sport. As you’ll see throughout this article, many times the fighters who have been on the other side of the ring feel the most pain.

We’ve compiled a picture show and also video footage of the most tragic boxing and MMA fights over the years. This is very graphic viewing.

Much respect to fighters who continually put their health at risk in the arena of combat sports.

There’s nothing better than finding out you have a new baby on the way, and this father and ex-UFC champion’s reaction is filmed the very moment he learns of a new son on the way…….

Former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks has been in some serious wars during his mixed martial arts career. He had two awesome fights with Robbie Lawler, winning the first and losing the rematch, both by way of decision after five exciting rounds.

Before that he faced Georges St-Pierre at UFC 167 when the Canadian superstar was still the champion. ‘Bigg Rigg’ lost by was of split decision, but many still argue against the very controversial judge’s scoring of that fight.

The lead up to Hendricks’ first title shot, vs GSP, was filled with spectacular knockouts. He finished Martin Kampmann, Jon Fitch, TJ Waldburger, Charlie Brenneman and Amir Sadollah all with punches.

‘Bigg Rigg’ has been out of luck lately though, and was unable to even make weight for his Scheduled UFC 192 bout with Tyron Woodley. With a title shot against the winner of Robbie Lawler vs. Carlos Condit at UFC 195 in the waiting, Hendricks had to be admitted to hospital.

A botched weight cut apparently led to a clogged intestine and liver problems for Hendricks, who had previously said his weight cutting problems were now behind him.

Then UFC president Dana White declared that Hendricks wouldn’t be fighting at 170 pounds any more, and instead would only be allowed to compete as a middleweight.

It’s not all been bad news though, as you’ll see how happy Hendricks was when he found out about his baby being a boy…..

Mike Tyson Is Amazed When He Sees What UFC Women’s Champion Does

0

UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is often compared to former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson. When Tyson visits Rousey’s gym to watch her train, he notices something special….

Ronda Rousey is considered the most dominant athlete in combat sports right now. She is undefeated at 12-0, is the UFC women’s bantamweight champion, and has finished her last four opponents in 1:04 or less.

She defeated Cat Zingano in 14 seconds at UFC 184, and instantly ‘Rowdy’ began drawing comparisons to the former boxing champion Mike Tyson. The heavyweight known as ‘Iron’ Mike is considered the greatest power puncher to ever grace the sport.

Tyson’s rise to prominence in the 1980’s made him feared worldwide, as he put away Larry Holmes, Trevor Berbick, Frank Bruno and countless others in terrifying displays of pure and brutal violence.

Much of the recent MMA-Boxing related news has been surrounding Floyd Mayweather’s beef with Ronda Rousey, but it’s cool to see that there is other stuff going on in that genre. The topic of Rousey crosses paths with Tyson as he made a visit to the champion’s gym in Glendale, Arizona.

As Rousey works the pads and bag in front of Tyson and UFC president Dana White, the boxing legend notices something special in the style of Rousey. Who knows, maybe one day Tyson will coach Rousey’s boxing should he ever choose that line of work.

For now, watch the video of Mike Tyson being touched by Ronda Rousey’s skills..

You Won’t Believe What The Mayor Of London Did To This Little Boy

The mayor of London, Boris Johnson, is known for his crazy antics, but maybe next time he should keep it in check while visiting a group of Japanese school children….

We’re used to Boris Johnson’s nutty behaviour, the Mayor of London has a larger than life personality and can often be seen riding his push bike through the streets of the English capital. How can a man like this be in charge of London you ask? Funnily enough, he’s actually quite good at his job.

We’ve seen politicians mess up on camera before, and it’s mostly when they don’t stick to the golden rule; ‘Never work with animals or children.’ Those two factors can often lead to disastrous mistakes while being filmed, and today was no exception.

While on a visit to Tokyo, Japan, the 51-year old Mayor Johnson visited a group of school children playing street rugby. While trying to make a good impression for the locals and paparazzi in attendance, Johnson drops the ball big time.

It’s simply Boris Johnson being Boris Johnson. An eccentric man in a position of power making a bit of a jackass out of himself. The stunned onlookers tell the whole story, but does it have a happy ending?

So what did Johnson do to catch the attention of the worldwide web in this way? If you click over to the next page, you can see the video that’s going viral across the globe.
