Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua vs. Dan Henderson
Dan Henderson’s patented ‘H-Bomb’ is a strike no-one wants to get caught by, and Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua is one of the many victims that can testify to it’s destructive power.
‘Shogun’ was looking for revenge when he went up against ‘Hendo’ at UFC Fight Night 38 in 2014, having already lost out to him by unanimous decision a few years earlier.
The Brazilian started brightly and dropped the ageing Henderson twice in the early action, but in the third round he took a huge ‘H-Bomb’ right hand flush to the nose that floored him and set the stage for a knockout finish.
It came as no surprise to anyone who witnessed his caved-in nose afterwards that ‘Shogun’ required surgery to put it back in place just days after the fight.
