Dana White vs. Loretta Hunt
For a time, Dana White’s frequent video blogs became must-see viewing for fan’s, but the UFC president’s uncensored, foul-mouthed, outspoken persona landed him in hot water during one profanity-laden rant directed at Sherdog.com writer Loretta Hunt.
White was livid at an article Hunt had written suggesting that the UFC was attempting to freeze out certain agents and managers from the promotion and let his feelings out on the vlog, stating that, “Anything that comes out of your mouth Loretta, is f***ing stupid. You f***ing dumb b****. F*** you Loretta Hunt!”
Digging himself a deeper hole, White also called an anonymous person quoted in the article a “fa*g*t,” ensuring a subsequent blacklash from both the feminist and lgbtq communities that attracted mainstream media attention, forcing him to issue a public apology.
White would pull the blog on his vlog series a few months later and many years later admitted that his biggest regret ever was using that homophobic slur.
