Steven Siler
Steven Siler was always painfully aware of the fact that he looked too young to be competing in the cage, even when he was several years into his MMA career.
At 25-years-old Siler admitted he was still getting ID’d every time he tried to go out in Las Vegas, while his attempts to grow facial hair to disguise his boyish looks failed miserably.
“If I could grow a beard, I would,” Siler told MMAMania in 2012. “I’ve been trying to grow facial hair for god knows how long. It’s not coming.”
‘Super’ proves that appearances can be deceiving as he was actually one of the most experienced guys on the UFC’s roster, having had 27 fights under his belt before he even made it to the promotion.
Siler would go on to enjoy a nine-fight stint in the UFC and then fight frequently in years since, competing for the likes of the PFL, while racking up over 50 career bouts and finally growing facial hair!
