Joe Lauzon
If you’ve ever looked at Joe Lauzon and thought he looked more like a computer geek than a famous fighter then you might not be far from the truth.
“I’m a computer science major, so I’m a huge nerd,” Lauzon once admitted to MMAWeekly Radio.
In fact, Lauzon had a job in IT as a network administrator before he turned his attention to training in MMA full-time.
That was a wise decision as though he’s still just as geeky as ever, there’s no doubt that Lauzon was in fact born to be a fighter.
Lauzon burst into the UFC with a 48 second KO victory over Jens Pulver in 2006 and during his long run in the Octagon he’s since gone on to register no less than 15 bonus awards – the second most in the history of the promotion.
