Brad Katona
Brad Katona doesn’t try to hide the fact that he’s a nerd at heart.
“You know, I’ll take that on and adjust my glasses to it!” Katona once said with a grin after a media member asked him if he was representing ‘fight nerds.’
Katona has admitted before that he was the classic geeky kid during his school years, but with a twist, since he also studied martial arts.
“I was just a kid who did these combat sports, but also was in calculus class,” Katona told MMAjunkie.
Katona would go on to earn a degree in mechanical engineering, but meanwhile his fighting career has also been taking off, with the 27-year-old currently holding an 8-1 pro-record, including a 2-1 stint in the UFC so far.
