Cody Gibson
Bantamweight fighter Cody Gibson was partying at a bar in las Vegas just a few days after a loss in the UFC when he got caught up in a verbal confrontation with another man.
“He kept egging me on, and that’s when I told him, ‘I’m a UFC fighter, you don’t want to fight me, I don’t want to fight you.’” Gibson recalled to FOX Sports.
The troublemaker refused to believe that Gibson was a UFC fighter, to which he replied, “Google me, bitch!” – a comment he admitted later to regretting after the video went viral.
Soon afterwards Gibson was sucker punched in the face, but the cheapshot didn’t knock him down and he double-legged his attacker, and when he quickly rose back up took him down again just as others began to intervene and separate them.
In hindsight Gibson says he’s glad he didn’t have time to do more damage as he could have got into more trouble with the law due to being a professional fighter.
