Dominick Cruz

Early in his WEC career, Dominick Cruz was challenged by “a real-life Ninja” to two gym fights – one in MMA and the other a stand-up only bout, which the future UFC and WEC champion readily agreed to.

The so-called Ninja certainly looked to be in shape, but despite starting the MMA fight with a head kick attempt, he quickly found himself being taken down and mounted by Cruz, who proceeded to ground and pound him into submission with elbows and punches.

Next came the stand-up only fight and almost immediately Cruz clocked the ‘ninja’ with a left hand and followed up with a head kick and punches behind it, which led to his opponent literally running away, before admitting defeat.

War Machine

Ex-UFC fighter Jon Koppenhaver, aka ‘War Machine’ was caught on CCTV brawling with bouncers and other men inside and outside of the Thrusters Lounge bar in Pacific Beach, San Diego back in 2007.

The troubled fighter jumped in to help after his friends got into a fight and he was soon battling two of the bar’s bouncers.

“I grabbed for my mouth and kind of fell onto my butt and it took me a few seconds to come out of my daze,” one 6ft 4″, 315lb bouncer named Mathew Compton said in court of the moment he was floored by War Machine.

The brawl would later spill outside into the car park, where he continued to fight with multiple people.

“Beyond aggressive,” Compton said. “Crazy almost, that’s best way I can describe it, he was seeing nothing else at that point in my opinion.”

War Machine would ultimately be sentenced to one-year in jail for his actions.
