War Machine
Ex-UFC fighter War Machine had a knack for finding trouble wherever he went, and that included the Thrusters Lounge in Pacific Beach, San Diego back in 2010.
War Machine and a friend got into an altercation at the establishment that led to him striking a security guard, the 6ft 4″, 315lb Matthew Compton, so hard that it left him with a split lip and two of his teeth loosened.
“It immediately knocked me back,” Compton stated in court. “I grabbed for my mouth and kind of fell onto my butt and it took me a few seconds to come out of my daze.”
The trouble then spilled out into the car park outside, where War Machine then turned his focus to another bouncer.
“He was focused in on security guard La fleur and went after him with everything he had,” Compton said. “Beyond aggressive. Crazy almost, that’s best way I can describe it, he was seeing nothing else at that point in my opinion.”
War Machine was eventually arrested a few blocks away and officers were forced to put a spit bag on the still out-of-control fighter as they arrested him.
As a result of both this incident and another at a different bar on another occasion, War Machine was sent to jail for a year for violating his probation.
