8. Jon Jones
Despite being arguably the greatest mixed martial artist to ever live, a lot of people don’t like Jon Jones.
Usually someone in Jones’ position has a rabid fan base to go along with a pool of haters, and while Jon does have fans, his fan base isn’t that rabid. Fighters like Anderson Silva and Michael Bisping get a lot of hate as well, but both of them also have a very supportive fan base that trumps what Jones currently has.
Jon Jones has also proven to not be a PPV draw in the same way that stars named Conor McGregor, Ronda Rousey or Nate Diaz are.
Obviously the reasons that Jones has such a large amount of detractors goes back to the hit and run incident, the arrests, and of course the UFC 200 drug test failure. Some people also just love to hate on a talented guy who makes a lot of mistakes.
