Being among the toughest, most athletic people on the planet, some MMA fighters over the years have come to realize that they have all the abilities required to make it as a stuntman in the movie business.

In this article we’ll look at 10 UFC fighters who have performed stunt work for major TV shows and blockbuster movies, and in some cases even transitioned to landing acting roles opposite some of Hollywood’s biggest stars.

Though he had taken some acting classes while still actively competing in the cage, former UFC fighter Jason ‘Dooms’ Day had never considered doing stunt work.

However, after he retired he was encouraged to do so by another former MMA fighter, Dan Rizzuto, who had taken a similar path and it proved to be the start of a new and long-lasting career for Day.

“I’m known as a fighter, and a big guy, and there’s not a ton of big guys in this industry,” Day told bloodyelbow.com earlier this year.

As such he’s gone on to be one of the most active former MMA fighters in the stunt business, putting together an impressive resume in the process that’s included work on major TV shows like, The 100, Arrow, Supergirl, Batwoman and Altered Carbon and movies such as The Predator, Sonic The Hedgehog and Shazam!

He’s also appeared as an extra in some of the same shows as well as others like Fargo, Falling Skies, Skyscraper and Deadpool to name but a few.
