Jay Heiron
A veteran of the sport who fought for the likes of the UFC, Bellator and Strikeforce during his 23-7 career, Heiron retired in 2013 after realizing that he had a chance of making it in the entertainment business as not only a stunt performer but also an actor too.
In fact it was actually fellow UFC star Randy Couture who first helped open his eyes to the possibility and he grabbed it with both hands, with his first gig coming as a stunt performer on Law And Order, which he’d eventually feature on three episodes of.
Heiron has gone on to rack up over 50 TV and movie credits, including working on 12 episodes of The Blacklist and 15 for Elementary, while films he’s performed on include Joker, John Wick 2 & 3, Logan, The Purge: Election Year, Safe and The Amazing Spiderman 2.
Heiron has also sought to work on his acting skills and that’s helped him also rack up over 50 minor roles, including a role as a villain in The Equalizer 2 opposite Denzel Washington.
“I auditioned, I had a callback and I booked,” Hieron told theundefeated.com of that role. “It definitely wasn’t given to me. I had to go through the whole process just like everybody else, and I got the role. So that was great, definitely one of the greatest experiences I’ve had in my career.”
