Jeremy Stephens
Jeremy Stephens points to a rough childhood where he suffered abuse, was sent to 14 different elementary schools and at points lived in a shelter and a car, as factors that have led him to dark places mentally.
Stephens admits to having contemplated suicide in his teens, and more recently felt suicidal again after a first round TKO loss to Jose Aldo in 2018.
However, his coach Eric Del Feiro encouraged him to take mental health classes and it proved to be a breakthrough for him.
“I was able to dig deep, go in get some tools get some coaching from some of the best people in the world that was better than any type of counseling I’ve ever been to. It’s helped me grow with my relationships, with my wife and my kids.”
