Mixed martial arts is filled with blue-chip prospects that never pan out. While this is common in all sports, it seems to be more pronounced in MMA. This is most likely because in other sports when you experience a disappointing loss you don’t also get beat up in the process. Many of the fighters on this list failed to bounce back from disappointing losses in their career.

There are a few currently active fighters who are running the risk of ending up on this list someday, but were omitted from this list because they still have time to turn their careers around. Uriah Hall is a perfect example of a guy who still has time left in his career to reach his potential. The guys on this list aren’t so lucky.
