Dwayne Lewis vs. Ryan Jimmo
A picture tells a thousand words when it comes to showcasing just how horrific the haematoma Dwayne Lewis suffered on his left eye during a fight with the late Ryan Jimmo was in the MFC promotion back in 2011.
Lewis had continually waded in with big strikes during the fight, but in the third round Jimmo stood his ground and unleashed a strike that swole Lewis’ left eye up like a balloon and forced a doctor’s stoppage.
Some argued afterwards that Jimmo had actually headbutted Lewis or eyepoked him to cause that damage, but the victim himself clarified that wasn’t the case.
“I watched the tape a million times. His finger knuckles actually went into my eye, a legal punch. It pushed my eye in and broke the bone.”
