Josh Koscheck vs. GSP
Josh Koscheck talked a big game ahead of his title shot against Georges St-Pierre at UFC 124 in 2010, but it was a different story on the night inside the Octagon.
GSP’s training with famed boxing coach Freddie Roach paid off almost instantly as he slickly worked behind the jab, landing hard enough that he fractured Koscheck’s orbital bone in the opening round.
To his credit, Koscheck would battle on for the remainder of the five round fight, despite St-Pierre continuing to repeatedly jab his already damaged face.
The injury was bad enough that Koscheck wasn’t able to fly straight home after the fight, and indeed would sit out of action for most of the next year recovering.
