Spinning Back Elbow
With a shorter range than the spinning backfist, the spinning back elbow is even harder to land and as such it rarely registers a knockout finish.
In fact, up until 2017 only one had been recorded in the UFC, but the way in which Ricardo Ramos claimed his against Aiemann Zahabi (brother of famed coach Faras Zahabi) at UFC 217 made it even more unusual.
It was actually Zahabi who was pouring on the offensive pressure in the final round of their fight when Ramos first threw the spinning back elbow, landing to the ear of his opponent, who simply kept on fighting.
Undeterred, just seconds later Ramos again went back to the same technique, and this time it landed flush on the chin and knocked Zahabi out – the first loss of his career.
