Inverted Triangle With Straight Armbar

Triangle chokes and armbar’s are frequently seen in the UFC, but at UFC 116 in 2010, Chris Lytle managed to use them in a novel rarely-seen way to find a finish against Matt Brown.

Triangle chokes are typically a go-to move for fighters looking for a submission off their back, but Lytle changed things up by locking up an inverted triangle from top position.

Not content to settle for just that, Lytle then spiced up the move even further by additionally going for a straight armbar at the same time, and the dual impact of those two sumbissions occurring simultaneously left ‘The Immortal’ with no choice by to tap-out.
