The Peruvian Necktie
One of the most exotic sounding submissions ever pulled off in the UFC is the Peruvian Necktie, which C.B. Dollaway became the first fighter to successfully execute inside the Octagon against Jesse Taylor in 2008.
The move was actually invented by a former UFC fighter Tony De Souza, who as you might have guessed is from Peru, though he was never able to finish with the move himself during his MMA career.
Just last month Misha Cirkunov also pulled of the Peruvian Necktie in the first round of his fight with Jimmy Crute after having come close to being stopped just moments earlier in the fight, showcasing how effective the move can be if it can be set up correctly in the heat of the battle.
