Jorge Masvidal vs. Darren Till
Not so long ago Darren Till seemed destined for great things, but the fight game can be a cruel business and the UK fighter has gone through a tough spell in the past year.
A loss in his title challenge against Tyron Woodley was a disappointment, but worse was to come a few months later when he went up against Jorge Masvidal in London.
Mid-way through the second round, Masvidal caught Till clean with a left hook. That on it’s own was likely enough to seal the KO, but Masvidal also managed to land a further left hand as he went down, and after Till’s head then bounced hard off the floor he landed one final punch to add insult to injury.
Till would stay stretched out on the canvas for a few minutes and was given oxygen before finally come too and being taken to hospital.
The 26-year-old is now taking time out to refocus and rebuild after this particularly nasty knockout.
